Taylor College & Seminary's
Schalm Memorial Library Collection

As part of an agreement with Vanguard College, the Schalm Memorial Library Collection has been moved to Vanguard (12140 - 103 Street). Taylor students continue to have access to this valuable resource either in person or online. Borrowing privileges are facilitated by daily delivery service between Vanguard and Taylor. Also, a collection of the most helpful and commonly-referenced titles (such as current textbooks) are available in the Benke Reading Room on the Taylor campus.

Taylor remains part of the NEOS Library system, a consortium of 25 libraries in northern Alberta. There are over five-million items in the NEOS Collections, and Taylor students have full access to everything in the collection.NEOS

About the Schalm Memorial Library Collection

The Schalm Memorial Library was named in honour of former Academic Dean, Bernard Schalm. The collection consists of:

  • Approximately 50,000 circulating and reference books.
  • Over 60 current print periodicals subscriptions.
  • Electronic databases that provide access to thousands of electronic journals.
  • Several hundred videos, CDs and DVDs.

Taylor is pleased that we have been able to share this resource with another Christian post-secondary institution, reflecting the best stewardship of resources for both schools. Read more about the new agreement here.
