Taylor Class to be Offered in Medicine Hat - Fall 2011

Taylor Seminary is pleased to announce that one of our courses will be offered in Medicine Hat this fall. New Testament Introduction is an overview of the books, authors and themes of the books of the New Testament.

This modular course will be offered in Medicine Hat over three weekends in Fall 2011 for graduate credit through Taylor
Seminary, or for undergraduate credit (as REL 103 New Testament Literature) through Taylor College.

TaylconnectED_Logo_smor has initiated a series of new course delivery methods, ranging from online to modular courses, and as part of this push to make theological education more accessible, we have begun offering courses in various locations. In 2010-11, we offered courses in Kelowna and Grande Prairie; in 2011-12, courses have been announced for Medicine Hat and Kelowna, and another location could be announced shortly.

NT 416 New Testament Introduction (3 credits)
This course will provide an overview of the 27 books that make up the New Testament.  It will introduce the student to the historical and cultural background of the New Testament and examine every book in it from the Gospel of Matthew to the Book of Revelation.  We will explore how each book came to be written, survey its contents, and discuss the major theological themes that appear in it. We will also look at the various methods that have been used in the study of the New Testament and the diverse views held by those who engage in such study.

This course is cross-listed as REL 103 New Testament Literature for those desiring university-transferable undergraduate credit. (Transferable to Athabasca, King’s, MacEwan, University of Alberta, University of Calgary, University of Lethbridge, and others.)SydPage
