Medicine Hat Course Fall 2012
We are pleased to announce that Dr. Randal Rauser will be teaching TH 634 Christian Apologetics in Medicine Hat in a "hybrid format", i.e., starting and ending online with 2 weekends of classroom time, Sept. 21-22 and Oct.26-27 (Fridays 6:30pm-9:30pm and Saturdays 8:30am- 4:30pm).
TH 634 Christian Apologetics is an introduction to the rational defense of the Christian faith including both the identification of evidence or grounds for Christian belief as well as evidence against non-Christian beliefs. We will also consider the biblical ground of apologetics, different models of apologetics, and the specific apologetic challenges of modernism and postmodernism.
This is a three credit course, excellent for students working towards a degree, or anyone interested in a rigorous exploration of apologetics with a gifted, highly-qualified instructor.

Taylor Honours Dr. Syd Page
During the 32nd Graduation Service for Taylor Seminary (April 29, 2012), Dr. Syd Page was honoured with a new title: Professor Emeritus. A certificate with the new title was presented following the conferring of degrees to Taylor students.
Taylor President Dr. David Williams surprised him with the presentation: Dr. Page said later that he didn't have any idea that this was planned.
Dr. Page began teaching at this institution in 1977, when it was simply North American Baptist College (NABC). He was a founding faculty member at the divinity school that became Edmonton Baptist Seminary, now Taylor Seminary.
A special retirement banquet in honour of Dr. page will take place at the end of May at Taylor (purchase tickets here).
An Invitation to Church Leaders
As part of his one-week intensive Christian Ethics course, Dr. David Williams is opening up a class with guest lecturer Dr. Simon Sheh to anyone in church leadership.
We are all painfully aware of the personal, relational and ministry losses suffered because of moral failure. Public scandals involving Christian leaders have become all too familiar in our sexualized culture. Dr. Sheh’s session will equip church leaders to offer healing, to develop safeguards, and to be personally strengthened and encouraged.
This afternoon session will be invaluable for anyone in church leadership. You are welcome to attend and bring others from your leadership, whether or not you are a Taylor student. You do not need to pre-register, and there is no cost to attend.
Date: Thursday, May 3, 2012 | 12:30 PM – 4:30 PM
Location: Taylor Seminary, 11525 - 23 Avenue, Edmonton, AB
Phone: 780-431-5200 | www.TaylorSeminary.ca
Cost: FREE to attend this class (Please call or click here if you wish to inquire about enrolling in the course, either for audit or credit.)

Along with that balance, he also brings some new strategies for dealing with sexual purity that is both psycho-logically and scripturally sound.
