7:30 PM – The Life of David, featuring Toronto actor/playwright Jason Hildebrand
This solo performance features 23 characters, and a wide range of events in the life of this monumental king. Jason Hildebrand’s performance covers David’s life, from his anointing by the prophet Samuel to his final words – a story that includes his achievements, his failures and his worship.

Cost: $12.00 for Friday night (register online here) -- an outstanding youth group event!
Saturday sessions are free of charge.

Saturday, November 17, 2012
9:00 AM – 12 Noon – Four Teaching Sessions on the Life of David
1. The Life of David: Family Man, featuring Dr. Willy Muller
David was many things, but he is not remembered for being an outstanding father. See what lessons we can learn from looking at David’s life at home.

2. An Actor’s Journey with the Life of David, featuring Jason Hildebrand
It’s one thing to read the story – but to write a play based on David’s life, and then to perform those scenes and those words over and over again? Jason will talk about ‘living’ the Life of David.

3. It’s a Cold and Broken Hallelujah! The Life of David in the Book of Psalms, featuring Dr. Jerry Shepherd
Taylor Seminary Old Testament professor Dr. Jerry Shepherd will share rich insights into the Psalms – the praise, the laments, the complaints.

4. David’s Journey into the Heartland of God’s Kingdomfeaturing Pastor Sieg Koslowski
For all of his failings, King David may be best described as a man after God’s own heart. Re-trace his journey into the Kingdom of God.

All events in Stencel Hall at Taylor College and Seminary.

12 Noon – Lunch, by donation

Alumni Note: The Annual General Meeting of the Taylor Alumni Association will take place on the afternoon of November 17th, immediately following onWORD and the noon luncheon mentioned above.
