Taylor president Dr. David Williams has announced that Marjorie Hewitt has accepted an offer to become Taylor's new Director of Finance and Operations. She will replace John Rhebergen, who is retiring.

Ms. Hewitt comes to Taylor with a wealth of skills, and with extensive experience at schools of various sizes and types in western Canada. Most recently at two schools in BC, she spent much of her career at the University of Regina.

Marj will officially begin in the New Year -- welcome aboard!

Dr. James K.A. Smith of Calvin College will be the featured speaker at the 2014 E.P. Wahl Lectures at Taylor.

Dr. Smith, who is Canadian-born, is presently a Professor of Philosophy at Calvin College in Grand Rapids. His book Desiring the Kingdom and his most-recent book Imagining the Kingdom have placed Dr. Smith in the forefront of some intriguing discussions about worship and culture, and his ideas are finding an enthusiastic audience.

The Wahl Lectures have been a significant continuing education event for church leaders, students and academics for almost 30 years, and we hope you will be able to join us on Friday, March 14th for this day-long event.

Registration is now open -- simply click here to read more and to sign up.

The annual meeting of the Taylor Alumni Association will be held on November 23, 2013, beginning at 10:00 AM. The meeting, which is expected to last two hours, will take place at Taylor; coffee and light breakfast snacks will be offered.

All Taylor alumni -- from the CTI, NABC, NABDS/EBS and Taylor eras -- are warmly welcomed and encouraged to attend.

The Taylor Board of Trustees has voted to pursue a longterm partnership agreement with two potential partners: Vanguard College (Edmonton, AB) and ACTS (a consortium of seminaries based at Trinity Western University in Langley, BC).
