Joint Report on Cameroon Visit
Greetings from Taylor Seminary, Sioux Falls Seminary, and the International Office of the North American Baptist Conference!
As three members of the NAB family, these organizations sent a team of leaders to Cameroon. Dan Hamil, Interim Executive Director of the NAB, Norm Poehlke, Vice President of Ministry Outreach at the NAB, David Williams, President of Taylor Seminary, and Greg Henson, President of Sioux Falls Seminary had the privilege of spending time in Africa with members of the Cameroon Baptist Convention.
Justice and Spiritual Formation
Taylor Seminary was privileged to have Mark Wollenberg ('80) back on campus with us on March 5th, speaking about Justice and Spiritual Formation. Mark spoke to Dr. Allan Effa's Spiritual Formation class, and also spoke in Chapel.
Christian-Atheist Event Comes to Taylor
Taylor Seminary is pleased to announce Belief and Doubt in the 21st Century, a dialogue on faith and the existence of God. This 2-hour debate/discussion will feature Taylor Professor of Historical Theology Dr. Randal Rauser and a well-known apologist for atheism, Justin Schieber from Grand Rapids, MI (co-host of the Reasonable Doubts radio program).
Mental Illness and the Christian Faith
The E P Wahl Centre at Taylor is supporting an initiative of Holy Trinity Anglican Church, where Taylor alum Sarah Holmstrom serves as priest.
Mental Illness and the Christian Faith: A Conversation will feature a presentation from Kathryn Greene-McCreight. Her latest book, Darkness is My Only Companion: A Christian Response to Mental Illness (Brazos Press, 2006), was named a 2006 top ten book in Religious Non-Fiction by Publisher’s Weekly.
