Taking Jesus’ encounter with the woman at the well in John 4, and Jesus call to faith in John 7, we will explore our relationship with Christ. As part of our Lenten journey we will look at how the three topics of beauty, hope and faith speak into both our understanding of ourselves and our acceptance of the love and vision that God, in Christ Jesus, has for our lives.

Bishop Jane Alexander of the Anglican Diocese of Edmonton grew up in Newcastle, England, and has lived in Canada since 1990. She is a graduate of the University of Alberta ('96, Ph. D., Educational Psychology) and of Newman Theological College ('01, MTS) and was ordained as a priest in 2001. She became Bishop in 2008.

Michael Pahl is a pastor at Lendrum Mennonite Brethren Church in Edmonton. He holds the PhD in Theology from the University of Birmingham, UK, and he is the author of From Resurrection to New Creation: A First Journey in Christian Theology (Cascade, 2010).


April 19 – Barabbas, Imprisoned By Regret: Dr. Randy Ritz

This dramatic 1-hour stage play explores the life of Barabbas as it may have been in the years following his release from prison in place of Jesus. Where did he go and what did he do? How did he remember the astonishing events that led to his freedom that Passover weekend in Jerusalem?
