Taylor Seminary is currently in the midst of the process of seeking reaffirmation of accreditation from ATS, which is necessary every ten years. Three subcommittees are busy working on various aspects of a self-study, evaluating all aspects of Taylor.
Taylor also holds institutional membership in the Evangelical Fellowship of Canada, the Canadian Corporation for Studies in Religion, the Association for Theological Field Education, and the Western Association of Registrars of Universities and Colleges of Canada, and Network of Evangelical Seminaries in Western Canada.
Taylor continues to develop significant partnerships within the evangelical and higher education communities. These partnerships include North American Baptist churches, NAB Leadership Centers, Sioux Falls Seminary, Vanguard College, Urban Sanctuary, Carey Theological College, Cameroon Baptist Theological Seminary, Education Consortium for Contextual Learning (ecCL), Network of Evangelical Seminaries (NETS) in Western Canada, Young Life, and the Baptist Union of Western Canada (BUWC).
The seminary is an institutional member of In TRUST. In Trust seeks "to educate and inform those responsible for the governance of the graduate theological schools of North America." We are members of a number of educational groups, including Christian Higher Education Canada (CHEC). Additionally, Taylor has been a member of the Edmonton Chamber of Commerce since 2000.
Congratulations on choosing Taylor Seminary, where faith and learning come together to build the leaders of tomorrow. At Taylor Seminary, you will prepare for life and your career, further studies or ministry as you grow within a community like no other.
The mission of Taylor Seminary is to develop Christ-minded leaders who make a difference in the world. We do this by providing graduate-level theological education for men and women who are committed to obey the Lord in career, church and community. Our primary focus is on training for pastoral and other vocational Christian ministries. We also prepare those who are called to serve as intentional disciples of Christ in the marketplace and society. We perform this ministry within a context which is both Baptist and evangelical.
To accomplish this, the seminary seeks:
- to give students a foundation in Scripture and the Christian heritage
- to help develop within students the skills required to minister the grace of God wherever He may lead them
- to cultivate a faith in God that will sustain students in joy and sorrow, as well as attract others to a similar reliance and obedience
- to set students confidently on a path in which their knowledge, skills and faith will develop throughout a lifetime of effective and generous service to God and His Kingdom

We hope that you will stay in touch with our Alumni Association after graduation. We know that you have found the best place to learn as you train for a life of serving God.
