Taylor Seminary offers students an opportunity to study abroad each year. MI 546 is a three-credit immersion study/service course normally conducted outside of Canada. It is designed to expose students to diverse expressions of Christianity and/or other world religions, and has become an important learning opportunity for Taylor students who want to gain a global perspective on issues during the course of their studies.
In 2013, a small group of students led by Dr. Allan Effa will travel to Zambia where they will explore issues of justice and social concern, including spending time with AIDS orphans and their care-givers. The group will spend time learning about African Christianity and international development.
This will be an intensive learning experience, but time will be set provided for a short sight-seeing tour to beautiful Victoria Falls, and for a safari in neighbouring Botswana.
