Evelyn GriegerDr. Evelyn Grieger holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano from the University of Lethbridge and a Master of Music degree in Choral Conducting from the University of Alberta. Evelyn attended the University of Illinois (Champaign-Urbana campus) where she received her DMA in Choral Conducting. She has taught and conducted at a number of post-secondary institutions in and around Edmonton, and has conducted many community choirs and church choirs in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Illinois.

In addition to leading choral workshops, guest conducting and adjudicating, Evelyn teaches undergraduate conducting at both the University of Alberta and The King’s University College. She has taught private piano and theory lessons for many years, and will also be accepting students interested in private conducting lessons. Evelyn teaches beginner piano to RCM grade 6; and theory from beginning Rudiments to higher levels of History and Harmony.

Currently, Dr. Grieger is the Music Minister at First Baptist Church, Edmonton where she organizes and plans all music for their services, conducts the 30+ member Adult Choir, and guides the newly re-formed Handbell Choir. She is accepting new students on Mondays.
