Frontline Support Staff - Edmonton Do Likewise Society
(Part Time evenings – 4 to 12 hours a week)
The Edmonton Do Likewise Society is a Christian non-profit organization formed with the objective of showing mercy and love, in practical ways, to the disadvantaged, discouraged, and oppressed. Through a significant volunteer contingent, the Society builds caring relationships with our homeless neighbours and offers connections to appropriate resourcing. Operated by EDLS, the Neighbour Centre is the primary site through which people find resources, companionship, compassion, employment readiness and opportunities for service.
Responsible to the Program Manager, and working out of the Neighbour Centre, the Frontline Support Staff assist neighbours in accessing resources, and maintains an safe and welcoming environment where neighbours and volunteers become a life-giving community that nurtures hope, health, and transformation.
The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated understanding of the issues contributing to poverty.
