We are a Christian and Missionary Alliance church that welcomes people from different backgrounds to explore what it means to follow Jesus Christ. Our church has three congregations - English, Mandarin and Cantonese. In addition, our community centre (Millbourne Community Life Centre) reaches to serve hundreds of new Canadians through strategic partnerships with organizations such as Youth Unlimited (formerly Youth For Christ), and Edmonton Food Bank.

We believe in team work. Our team currently has 10 members, 7 pastors and 3 support staff, each gifted in different ways. We carefully observe the 5C’s that defines our ministry capacity - Character, Commitment, Competency, Chemistry and Creativity.

We emphasize on mission, local and global, partnering primarily with C&MA Global Advance Fund. In the last decade, SEAC has sent out more than 10 full-time International Workers to the Middle East, Europe, Asia and Africa, as well as hundreds of short-term missionaries.

Our annual budget is approximately $1.3 million, including a $350,000 budget for local and global missions. In the last ten years, we have sent 6 couples overseas as International Workers with C&MA Canada. Our prayer is that one day we will be able to use fifty cents per dollar received for mission.


The Lead Pastor for the English Congregation will model the purpose of the church and advocate for its vision for the glory of God. This person will have a broad responsibility for the spiritual growth and life of the church in all areas including discipleship, evangelism, and equipping the congregation for service. The Lead Pastor is to embody the essence of a shepherd and servant leader. In addition, the lead pastor needs to have a vital walk with the Holy Spirit.


Our intent is that the Lead Pastor will give leadership and oversight to the English Congregation, delegate responsibility as appropriate. These essential responsibilities include, but not limited to, the following: (1) Ministry of the Word, (2) Prayer, (3) Leadership Development, (4) Evangelism & Discipleship, (5) Shepherding and Pastoral Care. The Lead Pastor will work closely with the Senior Pastor in conjunction English Ministry Committee, support staff, and ministry leaders in the implementation of the purpose and vision.


  • Be an authentic communicator, preaching and teaching biblical messages with relevant life applications.
  • Practice personal evangelism and discipleship and equipping others to do the same.
  • Develop small groups as a key ministry strategy for church growth, caring and discipleship.
  • Demonstrate ability to work with others, humble to accept input from those he/she is leading, be transparent and encouraging.
