• A Missional Conversation

The EP Wahl Centre presents A Missional Conversation with Dr. John Franke, author of Manifold Witness: The Plurality of Truth

Pastor Matt Ziprick of Bethel Lutheran Church and Dr. David Williams of Taylor Seminary share in a lively discussion with author and theologian Dr. John Franke. Dr. Franke shares key insights on how we can better understand the work of God in the world, and how we can be part of what God is doing. There is also a Q & A session.

John is known for his book Manifold Witness: The Plurality of Truth, and his new book is about the missional conversation. And the idea of missional living is essentially that the God of Love is on a mission to redeem and restore the world, to love it and save it, and the Church is invited to participate.

John is Theologian in Residence at Second Presbyterian Church in Indianapolis, IN. He is also Professor of Religious Studies and Missiology at the Evangelische Theologische Faculteit in Leuven, Belgium, and is General Coordinator for The Gospel and Our Culture Network in North America. Educated at the University of Oxford (DPhil), John is particularly interested in engaging postmodern thought and culture from the perspective of missional Christian faith. He is the author of numerous books including Beyond Foundationalism: Shaping Theology in a Postmodern Context (Westminster John Knox) with Stanley Grenz; The Character of Theology: An Introduction to its Nature, Task, and Purpose (Baker Academic); Barth for Armchair Theologians (Westminster John Knox); and the aforementioned Manifold Witness: The Plurality of Truth (Abingdon). His most recent book on missional theology is forthcoming from Baker Academic.
