Glen Stassen was the Lewis B. Smedes Professor of Christian Ethics at Fuller Theological Seminary and an award-winning author. Among his areas of expertise were Christian ethics, peacemaking, social justice, incarnational discipleship, Dietrich Bonhoeffer, John Howard Yoder, and the Sermon on the Mount. Dr. Stassen passed away in April 2014.

Educated at University of Virginia, Union Theological Seminary (New York) and Duke University, he taught for twenty years at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and has also taught at Duke University, Kentucky Southern College, and Berea College. He joined the faculty of Fuller in 1997.

Kingdom Ethics: Following Jesus in Contemporary Context (2003) received Christianity Today‚Äôs Award for Best Book of 2004 in Theology or Ethics. He has written or co-written and edited numerous other books; his next book is Incarnational Discipleship in a Secular Age (2012).
