Cam Burns:
Graduate Student, Toronto, Ontario

During my time at NABC/Taylor, I had been going through a process of vocational discernment in the Anglican Church of Canada. Shortly before my graduation from Taylor, my call to ordained ministry was affirmed by the Advisory Council on Postulancy and Ordination of the Anglican Church of Canada, and I was made a postulant (an officially-sanctioned candidate towards ordination) of the Diocese of Edmonton by the Right Reverend Victoria Matthews, bishop of Edmonton.

Having graduated from Taylor with my BA in Religion and Theology (minor in Biblical Languages), I am now in graduate studies at Wycliffe College, an evangelical seminary of the Anglican Church of Canada in Toronto, Ontario. I am currently in the first year of an honours Master of Divinity program, which I anticipate leading me both into ordination as a priest of the Anglican Church of Canada, as well as into further doctoral studies in Toronto.

Toronto is a very interesting and multi-ethnic city to live in, and there are many ministry opportunities available, both within Wycliffe College and the community. Wycliffe College maintains ties with several Dioceses of the worldwide Anglican Communion, and sponsors various international ministry exchanges and internships--I am currently intrigued by the possibility of serving in Kenya or Tanzania next summer.

At any rate, following my calling has certainly been an adventure so far, and I continue to move along, confident that the God who has led me here will sustain me in the adventures to come.
