Thirteen students graduated from Taylor Seminary on May 6, 2018, mainly with Master of Theological Studies or Master of Divinity degrees. The MTS is a 48-hour program, while the MDiv is a 77-hour program. Both attract students who are looking ahead to ministry, either as a vocation, or as a lay ministry opportunity while continuing to serve in another profession, or serving at home, in their community, or as a volunteer.
Triennial Events at Taylor
Taylor Seminary will welcome many friends and former students to campus this summer as part of the Triennial Conference of the North American Baptist Conference. The conference will take place at the Shaw Conference Centre from July 26-29th. There will be two events at Taylor on the 25th – an Open House for the White Cross Ministry (Wednesday afternoon), and a hymn sing that evening (7-9 PM).
The White Cross Open House will also be a chance to drop off medical and relief supplies for our partners in Cameroon, as numerous Triennial delegates will bring boxes of donations with them as they travel to Edmonton.
Taylor Seminary’s 38th Graduation Ceremony will take place on Sunday, May 6th. Fourteen students will be conferred with degrees and/or diplomas.
The service will take place at West Meadows Baptist Church, and our guest speaker will be Dr. Gary Nelson, President of Tyndale University College and Seminary in Toronto.
Taylor's Sam Nikkel on 100 Huntley Street
The ministry of the Healthy Pastors Initiative, offered through Taylor's E P Wahl Centre, was the subject of a recent interview for 100 Huntley Street. Rev. Sam Nikkel, who heads up this significant ministry to pastors and other ministry workers, flew to Toronto for this interview with host Greg Musselman. The video is now available for viewing online.
