Taylor COVID-19 Response
As you are no doubt aware, things are changing daily in terms of Alberta Health Services protocols for the COVID-19 virus, particularly with regard to post-secondary institutions. In keeping with this, please note the following:
- Due to COVID-19, the seminary has moved all courses online, and effective Tuesday, March 24th, the campus and General Office will be closed to the public. These changes will remain in effect until further notice. Questions may be directed to the seminary by email (email@example.com ) or by phone at (780) 431-5200. Voicemail messages will be checked regularly by the Office Administrator who will forward messages to the appropriate people. In case of emergency, call security at (780) 913-2240.
- Inter-library loans within the NEOS consortium of physical resources (e.g., books) are not available at this time. The following protocol has been clarified with Karina Dunn, Librarian of the Taylor/Vanguard College library holdings:
Returning Books During Quarantine: Nothing is due until the end of May, 2020. Vanguard Library is currently deciding whether to extend the return deadline into September. This page will be updated when this decision has been made. If you would like to return books, the front office at Vanguard College is available to answer the doorbell in the main entrance from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm Monday - Friday. The books can be left on the cart labeled "Library Book Return" just inside at the bottom of the stairs to the library. Karina Dunn will get them checked in the next time she is at the library. Alternatively, you can call Taylor's office and make an appointment with Ai (780-431-5201) to drop-off books at Taylor Seminary.
Borrowing Books During Quarantine: If you need to check out new materials, please make an appointment at appoint.ly/t/library. Then search the catalogue and limit your results to Library/Institution "Vanguard College." Copy and Paste the titles (incuding call numbers if possible) into an email to firstname.lastname@example.org ahead of time so Karina can prepare to bring them down for curbside pickup at the time of your scheduled appointment. Library hours are 9 am-3pm Monday-Friday; phone: 780-452-0808).
