An ice cream social for alumni and friends of Taylor drew over 180 people at the recent NAB Triennial conference in Orlando, FL. There were students on hand from every era of the school, including recent graduates and going all the way back to the CTI days of the 1960's.
Taylor president Dr. David Williams provided a detailed overview of Taylor's current situation, outlining current enrolment, budgets, renovations and staffing, and reviewed Taylor's recent history. Time was also provided to the new head of the Taylor Alumni Association, Eric Peters, who gave an impassioned plea to his fellow alumni to support Taylor. The evening ended with a time of heartful prayer, led by Daunavon Buyer.
Taylor enjoyed a strong presence at the Triennial, including a busy trade show display in the ministry area and a video that was shared with the full conference. Delegates were all wearing Taylor lanyards and our new, custom-made Taylor caps were a big hit. We also received inquiries from quite a number of prospective students intrigued by Taylor's unique programs and course delivery model.
The 2015 Triennial, to be held in northern California, will coincide with our 75th Anniversary -- see you there!
